Value Selector
A Simple Tool for Choosing What Matters
I’m releasing this HTML Value Selector around the New Year, a time when many of us reflect on our values and realign for the next chapter. I’ve personally used this as a small reflection tool in different forms for several years now. I originally started doing this manually, selecting values, graphing them out, and keeping the results visible as a quiet reminder of what I wanted to focus on in a given season of life. Over time, this process became less about optimization and more about awareness.
Value Selector brings that practice into a simple, guided experience.
In three intuitive phases, you gradually hone in on what matters most to you right now:
- Phase 1 invites broad intuition by selecting your Top 30 values
- Phase 2 refines that list to a focused Sub 15
- Phase 3 highlights your Core 5, the values you want to consciously live, protect, and nurture
There are no right or wrong choices here. Trust your instincts, don’t overthink it, and let the process surface what already exists beneath the noise.
At the end, you can export your selections as an Excel file. While automated radar chart creation isn’t directly supported by Excel, the export includes clear instructions so you can easily create one yourself, or use Google Sheets or any spreadsheet tool you’re comfortable with. Many people find it helpful to keep this visual nearby as a gentle, ongoing reminder of their current values.
Enjoy the process, be kind to yourself, and happy New Year.
May your values align with how you live, choose, and grow.
