SOON!

A solo print-to-play game of parasitic patience

Hidden beneath the surface, you grow. An alien parasite, silent and unseen, your host feels nothing at first—just a cough, a fever, a flicker of weakness. But cycle by cycle, you feed, adapt, and prepare. And grow. The crew is watchful, the body fights back, but you only need to survive long enough to emerge. It will be your time… Soon!

What is this game?

Soon! is a solo print-to-play journaling game where you play as an alien parasite growing inside its host. Using only a standard deck of playing cards and a handful of dice, you’ll navigate the cycles of infection—balancing energy, resisting immune defenses, avoiding detection, and building toward the moment of emergence.

The game is quick to learn, endlessly replayable, and built on the mechanics of Mucus & Mistletoes—but reimagined with a darker, more sinister twist. Luck plays a part in survival, but careful choices and timing can make the difference between being discovered… or bursting forth.

Everything you need is included

The easy print-to-play booklet contains the full rules, examples, and even a Growth Journal to track your progress through each cycle of infection. Just grab some dice, a deck of cards, and begin your descent into evolution.
