Break a Leg

The curtain rises. The audience is waiting. The critics are watching. The performance of a lifetime is about to begin. 

Unfortunately, not for you. You are the understudies, side characters, stagehands, servants, guards, villagers, and forgotten names in the script. But what if everything is going wrong and it is up to you to save the day? The lead actor missed their entrance. The set is falling apart. The script makes no sense. Someone forgot the most important prop. Tonight, the show belongs to you. Tonight might be your chance to shine. You must find the balance between stealing the spotlight and making sure the performance survives. Because the show must go on. But your career might not.

This game was created for the One-Page RPG JAM 2026, with the optional theme Fractured. So take apart what was supposed to be a performance of a lifetime and break a leg making it on stage. 

This game is a chaotic, fast paced storytelling game about big egos in theatre and can be played with 3-5 friends or close enough aquaintances with shared humor. It only needs some tokens, pen and paper for notes and something to cover a secret pile representing the faith of your performance.
