Arctic Apocalypse - Recalculating math and equalizing duration of play
Playtesting is there to iron out the small issues...
Thanks to hours of testing, we’ve uncovered and resolved a few minor flaws in the initial math of Arctic Apocalypse’s last iteration — now updated in v1.2! Gameplay now feels more dangerous right from the start and less extreme toward the end, creating a smoother and more engaging difficulty curve.
We want players to feel the tension early on without dropping too soon, while still keeping things exciting as the story unfolds.
All in all, Arctic Apocalypse feels fantastic to play — tense, atmospheric, and delightfully punishing at times. It’s still a hard game, but that’s the charm (and Lady Fortuna always has her say in those dice rolls).
May you find civilization — and may fortune be on your side.
Stay awesome, and enjoy the apocalypse!
